Care for Wooden Kitchen Items
- Do not dishwash or microwave.
- Wash your Item with warm soapy water.
- Wipe down & let it dry thoroughly overnight. For cutting boards, stand it on edge so that both large faces are facing out. let it air dry completely before storing.
- As needed, apply black joy creations’ board butter to all sides and leave for 3 hours, then wipe any excess residue with a lint free cloth.
- For cutting boards, use a paste made with salt and a lemon (or distilled white vinegar) to deodorize.
- Use Baking soda & water to remove tough stains from cutting boards.
Care for Mugs and Water Bottles
- Do not dishwash or microwave.
- Do not soak.
- Remove cork bottom from mug before washing item.
- Wash your Item with warm soapy water.
Care for Candles
- Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects.
- Avoid excessive burn time, no more than 4 hours is recommended.
- Allow candle to melt to the edge of the vessel. This prevents future tunneling.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep out of reach of pets and children.
- Trim the cotton wick to 1/4 ” and wooden wicks to 1/8″ tall before every burn to keep the wax clean and burning nicely.
- Do NOT burn wood bowl candle all the way to the bottom. Wood can and will catch fire if exposed to an open flame.
- Use a spoon to remove additional wax to repurpose candle containers.
